FIWEI's Motherless Baby’s Home Outreach

FIWEI’s commitment to supporting vulnerable women and children was in full display during its recent Motherless Baby’s Home Outreach, held at Hope Haven Orphanage in Owerri. This heartwarming initiative provided essential supplies, emotional support, and mentorship to the children and caregivers at the facility

A Day of Love and Support

The FIWEI team, led by Founder Engr. Mrs. Kosarachi, arrived at the orphanage with a truckload of food items, clothing, educational materials, and hygiene products. The children’s excitement was evident as they welcomed the team with songs and joyful expressions Seeing the smiles on these children’s faces reminds us why we do what we do. Every child deserves love, care, and a chance for a better future, said Mrs. Kosarachi during the event

Educational and Emotional Upliftment

Beyond the donations, FIWEI volunteers engaged the children in interactive storytelling sessions, educational games, and mentorship talks. The outreach team emphasized the importance of education and self-belief, encouraging the children to pursue their dreams despite their circumstances. A highlight of the visit was the Dream Big session, where children were encouraged to share their aspirations. From becoming doctors to engineers, the room was filled with hope and ambition.

Empowering Caregivers

Recognizing the selfless work of the orphanage staff, FIWEI also organized a special session for the caregivers. They received training on child psychology, stress management, and emotional resilience to help them better support the children in their care. The dedication of these caregivers is truly inspiring. Supporting them means supporting the future of these children, noted one of FIWEIs volunteers

Looking Ahead

FIWEI’s outreach to Hope Haven Orphanage is just the beginning. Plans are underway to establish a long-term support program, ensuring continued access to education, healthcare, and mentorship for the children. We want to build a sustainable impact. This is not just a one-time visit but the start of a long-term partnership, said Mrs. Kosarachi.
